Popping noise when turning steering wheel?

I have a 2000 chevy monte carlo and when I turn the steering wheel either way. I recently did an oil change on it and inspected the front end. Tie rods, bushing, hubs all check out o.k. Could this be a cv axle problem, and if so how do I tell which one it is, or do both have to be replaced.Popping noise when turning steering wheel?
sounds like CV joints-read about them here(ARTICLES) http://painintheexhaust.blogspot.com/Popping noise when turning steering wheel?
probably the cv's.its best to change both at the same time so you dont have a strong new one and a weak old one.Popping noise when turning steering wheel?
BALL-JOINTS and C-V Joints!

It's under the axle. and you can hear and feel the pop on one side or the other or both.

Know how you see someones car in the middle of the street with one tire swinging out in the WRONG direction. That person kept on driving. Didn't get it fixed. Park it, at home until you can get it fixed OR it will park itself in the middle of the street.

First thing I had done on my %26quot;Pretty Audi%26quot; and that's it Just pretty.Popping noise when turning steering wheel?
CV joint. An inspection would give you a good idea which one.

Replacing both will cost you around $150 per side, for a total of around $300 (unless you go to the dealer and use dealer parts).
