no that's not uncommon at all on those vans, i see them with way less miles than that with bad tie rod ends and bad ball joints,as well as bad rack and pinion units on them, your looking at around 225 bucks to get one put on it and get the front end re-aligned back up right, and that's if they don't find anything else loose on it,the last one i did we replaced both outer tie rod ends on it because the other one didn't look so good either,so this might be something you want to consider doing,it may save problems from happening on down the road at another time, good luck with it.Bad tie rod on a 2000 Dodge Caravan?

Bad tie rod on a 2000 Dodge Caravan?probably about two hundred dollars, for parts and labor. It is not unusual for them to wear out at 90,000 miles.Bad tie rod on a 2000 Dodge Caravan?
depends if its the inner or outer tierod end, the outer can be replaced in minutes. the inner takes a little longer but both are cheap to rep[lace. a good mechanic could replace it without the need for a alignment. 10.00 to 15.00 dollar part, 20.00 to 30.00 laborBad tie rod on a 2000 Dodge Caravan?
It's not like a banana going stale in a period of time. There is history. This bad tierod has had its punishment, unique to the travels of one particular vehicle. If it is worn out, that's it and you can't explain it into being good again.
If you have bad roads and drive hard, you can ruin a tie rod in less miles than that. If it lost its lubrication wear is much quicker as well.
The left front suspension has a bad tie rod, not the tire has a bad tie rod. Get a second opinion from a different mechanic.Bad tie rod on a 2000 Dodge Caravan?
It will cost a lot less than the money you.ll pay out to support some mans' family.....but if you have good insurance, who cares? Oh, yeah, you might get hurt too...
