How do i change a inner tie rod end on a 1999 chevy prizm?

I want to change my own inner tie rod end before i have an alignment done and was told it can be hard if you dont have the right tools, anyone know about a 1999 chevy prizm...can that be done in a drive way with basic tools?How do i change a inner tie rod end on a 1999 chevy prizm?
Mark the tie rod thats on the car with paint where it goes into the rack and pinion. Take off the old one, measure or count how many threads are sticking out of the rack then set the new one up the same by thread count. it fits up inside the rack so you need a special tool to turn it out and put the new 1 back in.
